The Birmingham Black International Film Festival

The Birmingham Black International Film Festival ( BIF Festival) is a Film Festival with a difference, incorporating music, live arts and education while providing platforms for practitioners and artists to exhibit their creative talents. The BIF Festival, is a one week blissful mix of industry parties, showcases, networking events, educational seminars and screenings as well as the star studded “M Visas” Music Video Screen Awards. This Festival is a unique event and is the only event of its kind within a 70 mile radius.
Over the last 5 years the BIF Festival has grown into a well know established event in the city’s social calendar which continues to attract celebrities and individuals from across the UK

On the 29th of October Birmingham's biggest Black awards show returns to the city. With a stellar line up of Stars from across the UK  including Wil Johnson Jimmy Akingbola, Claire Perkins,  Tony Marshall, Rudolph Walker and Little Miss Jocelyn to name just a few. One of TV's favourite stars Jimmy Akingbola will be hosting the 2011 Music Video and Screen award. This event will be held at The Birmingham International Convention Centre (ICC). The TV star will be join on stage by the lovely Jacqui Joseph.When ask how they felt about hosting this years event they both reply they were excited and looking forwards to it...

 There will also be cast members from all of your favourite soaps. In addition, the cream of the crop of Nollywood will be joining us from across the Atlantic. The M Visas is fast becoming known as the new black Oscars and this year is set to be another enjoyable glitzy night..The program is is very interesting and keeps you hooked for one whole week. FabAfriq must say Dean Alexander and the entire team have done a fantastic job master minding and putting everything in place
