Michelle Obama turns 50 on the 17th of January. The First Lady who is internationally recognised for her stylish outfits told people's magazine  that being first lady is "pretty high up." She said she's always felt that her life is "ever-evolving" and she doesn't have the right to "just sit on my talents or blessings."  When asked what she does  to stay healthy, she said "I don't obsess about what I eat, but I do make sure that I'm eating vegetables and fruit," added Mrs. Obama. "And as everyone knows, I do exercise." In the last 5 years, she has been actively engaged in  "Let's Move" campaign, which is a  campaign to reduce childhood obesity rates through the combination of exercise and healthier eating.

She told people's magazine that "Women should have the freedom to do whatever they need to do to feel good about themselves," the first lady told People magazine in an interview hitting newsstands Friday, her birthday. "Right now, I don't imagine that I would go that route, but I've also learned to never say never."

According to the Chicago Tribune, the white house plans to have a dance party. The gala, to be held on Saturday January 18th, will be called “Snacks & Sips & Dancing & Dessert”.  There is going to be a major element of surprise to the party and aids have been asked to keep the details tight in order to surprise Mrs. Obama. Guests have been told to come prepared to dance and to eat before they come. Rumour has it that Beyonce would be performing on the night- Fingers crossed-
