Miss Universe Angola Leila Lopes was crowned Miss Universe 2011

Miss Universe Angola Leila Lopes was crowned Miss Universe 2011 at the 60th Miss Universe pageant, held in San Paolo, Brazil. 89 Beauty Queens took to the stage in Brazil, one winner emerged and we are proud  this winner is from Angola (Africa). The 25-year-old beauty queen pledged to support her country Angola, past the history of war and violence. Although HIV would be her main focus, she plans to help build confidence amongst young African women and inspire them to achieve their innermost potentials.

When asked which physical traits she would change about herself, Miss Angola said there is nothing she would want to change as it is her  inner beauty and self confidence that matter most.

In her own words,

"As Miss Angola I've already done a lot to help my people," Lopes said. "I've worked with various social causes. I work with poor kids, I work in the fight against HIV. I work to protect the elderly and I have to do everything that my country needs ... I think now as Miss Universe I will be able to do much more."
"Thank God I'm very satisfied with the way God created me and I wouldn't change a thing," Lopes said, responding to the question of what part of her body she'd change. "I consider myself a woman endowed with inner beauty. I have acquired many wonderful principles from my family and I intend to follow these for the rest of my life”
Well done Leila Lopes, wishing you all the best from team fabAfriq and our fans.
