New collection! Amy Newton's Presents Her Cultro Collection

Known for their caribbean-metropolitan fusion, CULTRO creative director Amy Newton has embedded her own ethnic background in every stitch and personalized her collection for bright, city-saavy women. Pulling from her Jamaican, Nigerian, Irish and British heritage, Newton combines contemporary silhouettes, modern fit, and imaginative blocking with extraordinary fabrics.

The idea of this line is to juxtapose tropical islands and jungles with the business of the city, and create outfits that allow women to float in-between the two realities.
Bomber jackets, sleeveless vests, tailored tops and dresses, jumpsuits and skirts make this collection ideal for the city weather that is as unpredictable as our schedules.

Cultro’s collections have always been inspired by global influences. This season, designer Amy Newton decided to take a different approach. The result: Cool Kids, her most vibrant and playful collection to date. Cool Kids incorporates colorful, geometric prints still inspired by some of Amy’s favorite world-wide locales, this time with larger-scaled prints and bolder hues. Cool Kids was designed to bring out “her” inner child, just in time for the carefree spring + summer sunshine.

Transitional pieces including cropped skinny pants, shift dresses, peplums and bomber jackets appear trendy yet comfortable for work and day time activities, and transition effortlessly for nightlife with a pair of heels and statement jewelry. Day dresses and flowy skirts keep you cool and sophisticated with breezy cutouts and lightweight fabric

The custom prints and colors represent both the beautiful ocean and beach environment as well as the Caribbean jungle. The juxtaposition of beach life vs. life in the bush is representative of the city girl going to a more suburban environment.

She has the perfect set of CULTRO outfits within our Fall collection, to allow her to float between both realities.!
