Cameroon, Ivory Coast & Guinea To Host African Nations Cups, 2019, 2021 & 2023

Cameroon, Ivory Coast and Guinea were named as future hosts of the Africa Cup of Nations by the Confederation of African Football (Caf) on Saturday 20th September 2014..

A vote of the executive committee, met in the Ethiopian capital, awarded Cameroon the 2019 finals and Ivory Coast will stage the 2021 edition. Caf also decided to hand Guinea the right to host the 2023 finals, while Algeria and Zambia lost in the bidding

The last time Cameroon staged the tournament was in 1972,  so you can imagine the excitement when they won the bid. It is not surprising that  Bafoussam, Douala, Garoua and Yaounde and Limbe would be hosting the tournament. The recently built stadium in Limbe is no doubt the best  in Cameroon. While hoping for major improvements to take place in the other satiums, we hope Cameroon would be able to maintain the Limbe Stadium to its current standard.

Ivory Coast, who were awarded the 2021 edition, last staged the Cup of Nations in 1984. They plan to use five cities - Abidjan, Bouake, Korhogo, San Pedro and the capital Yamoussoukro.
