EXSSA UK Golden Jubilee Convention 2012! 01-09-2012

Saker Baptist College is an all-girls secondary school located in Limbe in Cameroon. It was founded in 1962 as one of the first two secondary schools for girls in Cameroon. Its inaugural class of 36 students arrived on January 29, 1962. The school has since grown to almost a thousand students. Some applicants have to be turned away each year due to lack of space and the scramble to gain admission into this amazing college is an exciting event every year.

EXSSA UK (Ex Saker Students Association) are alumni of Saker Baptist College, Limbe, Cameroon (aka "SAKERETTES") residing in the United Kingdom. Empowered with the philosophy of 'working with one mind', EXSSA UK aims to foster and promote a spirit of Love, Unity, Sisterhood and better social integration amongst Ex-Sakerettes in the UK. This evolving and ever growing Association is a sustainable philanthropic organisation of christian womanhood with Regions all over the UK. 

EXSSA UK is also a sister association to EXSSA Cameroon, EXSSA USA and EXSSA Germany.

After enjoying a successful Jubilee celebrations in March 2012, everyone is looking forward to an exciting  Golden Jubilee Convention in September. The Theme of this event is "APPRECIATE, EMBRACE & INSPIRE". Aston Convention center will play host to this event and guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a three course meal, enjoy a luxurious evening and listen to the Sakerettes singing the favourite  "hear angelic voices of the acclaimed sakerettes"

In order to improve the sanitary facilities of the college, there will be pre-dinner drinks and a fundraising Dinner from 19:30 to 4AM. By Train:
The main station in Birmingham is New Street Station. From here it is only a 20 minute walk to the venue. 
Exit the station via the escalators and keep to your left, take the exit on the right which will bring you out onto Corporation Street.
By Car:    
If you are using a sat nav system, use post code B4 7ET and access the centre through Aston Street from Woodcock Street and not the main road, James Watt Queensway. Please note that Aston Street is now closed to through traffic; Google maps and sat nav systems do not yet reflect this.
By Taxi:
Ask to be taken to Aston Business School Conference Centre. There is a drop off point outside the main reception for each venue.
From Birmingham Airport:
The Venue is 9 miles from Birmingham Airport and a taxi journey should take approximately 20-30 minutes dependent on traffic. There are also trains from Birmingham International station to Birmingham New Street (approximately 5-10 minutes journey time) then follow the directions above for taxi journeys or walking to the venue from the train station.
