Style Afriq Fashion show: See who turned up!

Saturday, July 21st 2012 was a memorable day in the multi-cultural city of Birmingham. FabAfriq Magazine presented a fiery show with amazing collections aptly christened ‘Style Afriq’

The event was about show casing the creativity of creative designers from African heritage and designers inspired by African print. Success registered was tremendous and the request for another Fashion show is a current trend in our editor’s inbox.

Most of the pieces presented, gave an African cultural blend to some contemporary touch and also exposes the different styles we could use to create something unique with our print! We'd like to thank Adam Jaffer of the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, (curator of Style Africa Currently going on in the Museum) and everyone who came to our show. Special thanks to FabAfriq Event team and the entire support team!

This event made the audience leap up to give a standing ovation to the designers who showcased on the night and the entrie creative team. It also shook the very roots of the fashion world during the Grand Finale to end the evening and celebrate the release of FabAfriq Magazine Issue three. Not only was the magazine glossy and shiny, its cover was graced by Jimmy Akingbola of Holby City and Janita Francis, British top Model of Colour 2012
