The Corporate Awards 4th Edition, Rewarding Excellence in the Corporate Scene in Africa

Staying true to its tradition of excellence, FabAfriq PR organised another colourful edition of The Corporate Awards in Senegal, at the prestigious Radisson Blu Dakar Sea Plaza Hotel. The Award ceremony is bigger this year with two gala events: the just ended in Dakar Event and the upcoming Douala , Cameroon Award Ceremony.


The Dakar event began with the Corporate Women in Leadership Summit in the morning which was held under the theme, "An alpha female changes everything". The Corporate Awards gala followed with a dinner ceremony that recognised companies with distinguished human resource policies and practices. The Corporate Awards global board president and General Manager of SAR- Mr Serigne Mboup, gave the opening speech during which he welcomed, congratulated the Corporate Awards Team for the initiative and called on all present to support the initiative into London 2020.


Reputable companies like Air Senegal, Total Senegal, Groupe SEDIMA, Schlumberger, Ecole Superieure Multinationale de Telecommunication and many others were well represented at the awards ceremony. The winners were selected based on public online voting and research evaluation conducted by the University of Buea in Cameroon and Coventry University, United Kingdom.
Following the public's choice via online voting, the winner’s are:
Customer Service - Air Senegal
Corporate Social responsibility - Total Senegal
Employer of Choice - Group SEDIMA
Innovative Company - Ecole Superieure Multinationale de Telecommunication
HSE - Schlumberger.
On internal research basis, the following companies were awarded:
Employer of Choice - SAHAM Assurance
Corporate Social Responsibility - Schlumberger
Investor in People - LABOREX Senegal
Customer service - TIAK TIAK.


Special recognition awards were given to some individuals for their engagement in the Senegalese Corporate community.
- Transformational Leader award was handed to Mr Alioune Sarr, Minister of Tourism and Transportation
- The Change Agent award was handed to The SEED Project for all the work they do with kids; improving their quality of life through sports.
- The Innovative Leader award was handed to Mr Boubacar DIALLO, the Director of Boub's Communication
- The Visionary Leader award was handed to Mr Serigne MBOUP, Director of the African Refinery company Senegal.
The Cameroon Edition of this Pan-African program is set for December 6th at Akwa Palace Hotel, Douala with over 30 companies set to take part. As an internal policy of the Awarding body, winning companies are recommended to share their strategies with other companies. This is so that they can serve as a benchmark for these companies as well as ensure the general growth of the African economy with more efficient HR policies which is the major goal of the award.
